Pickett (1825-1875), eventually a Confederate Brig. Gen., was from Va. He was a lawyer, West Pointe graduate (1846), and Mexican War veteran. He is most remembered for Pickett's charge. He surrended at Appomattox. Pillow, a Confederate Gen. from Tenn., was a lawyer and Mexican War veteran. Twice wounded he was appointed senior Maj. Gen. of Tenn.
